C.B. Smith Rv Park Review, Miami Area

Several months ago, we visited the Miami area for work and stayed at a KOA. What a horrible mistake that KOA was. So, on this visit, we were determined to find something better.

We recently bit the bullet, purchased the RV Life Trip Wizard, and are still learning our way around that. So here was a good test for it. Find me a nice place to stay for a few days, near the city that is safe and easy to access.

Voila!! Within two minutes, I had drilled down into the map and checked out this county park. Past experience with Melbourne’s County Park, Wickham was great, and the reviews all looked decent, so we decided to try C.B. Smith.

No regrets here. $35.00 a night (August 22) Easy to get via a four-lane divided highway. Once there, the interior roads were all paved, route to the campground portion was well marked. The camping area is totally seperate on it’s own loop up past the tennis court.s There were nice bathhouses throughout. The place is quite large, 299 acres and has alot of amenities.

The only downside was that we had called ahead and asked to reserve a pull-through. The man on the phone said, no problem, we have plenty, come on in. We didn’t need our credit card; there were plenty of sites. They gave us a back-in site on a small circle when we arrived. Unfortunately, the placement of trees made it nearly impossible to get in. We had to drive over some grass and back out on the road, but we made it. Make sure you get a site long enough for your rig.

We are definitely staying again very soon. We’ll try and call ahead and make sure they take a CC for a pull-through.

Happy Trails,

Randy and Janet
